What if my crop fails? +
Crop failure is part of real farming — and it happens. Your Guardian logs every issue with photos before it becomes a failure. You'll see pest signs early, get the Guardian's note, and can suggest a remedy or let them decide. This is the real farming experience: you share the risk, just as you'd share the harvest. No farming has a 100% guarantee — and any platform that promises otherwise is lying.
How do I know my Guardian isn't using pesticides? +
You can visit your farm any time — no appointment needed. Your guardian's actions are logged daily. Other contributors from your society are watching the same guardian. And guardians who grow food their own families eat rarely reach for chemicals. The community is the accountability mechanism — not a certificate.
What vegetables can I grow? +
You choose 6–7 seasonal vegetables from a curated list of 12–15 options. The list is seasonal — what grows well in your region's climate at the time of sowing. If your chosen vegetables overproduce, surplus goes to the community pool and you earn FarmCoins to exchange for others.
What are FarmCoins? +
When your surplus produce is sent to the community pool and sold city-wide, you earn FarmCoins. These are redeemable in the ShopApni marketplace for any vegetable — so even if your tomatoes underperformed, your neighbour's tomatoes are available to you through FarmCoins. Everyone grows something, everyone gets everything.
Can I visit my farm? +
Yes, any time. We also organise weekend farm days with activities, yoga, and harvest experiences for contributors and their families. Kids especially love it. Think of it as your farm — because it is.
What is the subscription cost and payment structure? +
Subscription is approximately ₹2,999/month, paid in 2 installments aligned to the crop cycle — not monthly. We don't do monthly billing because vegetables don't follow a monthly calendar. A small non-refundable booking amount secures your farm immediately. Founding members get their price locked permanently.
How much land does a Soil Guardian need? +
A minimum of 2,000 sq yards. Registration is free. Guardians don't need to commit land immediately — digital farm slots are created first, and land is prepared as contributors are mapped. One acre can support up to 65 mini farms, earning a Guardian up to ₹1,30,000/month at full capacity.
